Loo Zoo

During Lockdown, and in an effort to stay involved in her grandkid’s lives, my mum starting making zoo animals out of loo rolls and then (via Zoom) challenging her grandkids to recreate them (with a bit of help from their mums!). Each day we had a new animal and facts that we had to find out about them. This worked wonderfully with her craft mad granddaughter and animal mad grandson! We all learnt a lot, not least how amazing my mum is at making weird and wonderful animals out of loo rolls, and eventually we even got a Dinosaur enclosure for the zoo!

When we told friends about what we were doing, they were amazed and asked to be sent the ‘instructions’ too, so we set up an instagram account @loo_zoo_lockdown for them to follow!

Of course I couldn’t resist creating a little visual identity for this project, and we soon had a small, but loyal, social following!
